Read Psalms 46

There are some Mondays that give signs to a great week, and there are Mondays that just make you dread what the week has in store. There are times when I start my week, I can tell right away if it’s going to be a good week, average week, or one that I just need to mentally prepare for. Some weeks are full of expectations, and some are full of surprises. 

When we are overwhelmed or begin to feel that weight of being overwhelmed, I don’t know about you, but I tend to be on edge. I find myself having tension in my jaws, headaches, and every little inconvenience is one step closer to be just losing it. However, in those moments, Christ’s peace is abundant. In those tense moments of annoyance, I am reminded that the creator of Heaven and Earth is with me, fights for me, protects me, and shows me grace. This Psalm is a beautiful remind of who God is! He is with his people and will reveal his power. As you go on with this week, be open to what God is calling you into. Be willing to listen to the message he has for you. May you be reminded that He is our strength and our fortress. He is the God who dwells among his people.
